Important Screening Information

We are Florida owned and operated. Robert Rosner, R.V.T., R.D.M.S., R.T., AAS. formed this company in 2005 after working 30 years in hospital and private practice settings. Seeing so many post-heart attack and especially post-stroke patients and the catastrophic effect that these events had on them and their families, we felt prevention must play a larger part in peoples lives. The question was then, can you prevent a stroke or heart attack from occurring?

Multiple screening tests are approved for sub-clinical (asymptomatic) cancers such as mammography and colonoscopy. However, none are approved for sub-clinical atherosclerosis, which underlies both heart attack and stroke. This void leaves many individuals - even those with severe atherosclerosis - totally unaware of their risk because they have no symptoms.

Screening asymptomatic people who may be at risk for stroke and other vascular disease is a simple and cost effective approach to preventing disabling and deadly conditions. Of the 750,000 strokes that occur in the U.S. each year, a staggering 600,000 of these could have been prevented! It is estimated that half of these strokes occurred in asymptomatic people, those who had no symptoms of their impending strokes. Up to 43% of the Medicare budget is spent annually for the medical care of stroke patients.[1]

We are the pioneer mobile health risk screening service in the State of Florida. We provide four non-invasive lifesaving health screens including: Carotid Artery/ Stroke screening; Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening; Ankle Brachial Index (Peripheral Vascular Disease) screening; and Carotid IMT (intima-media thickness) and Plaque Screening  to assess your "vascular age" as well as classify, document and accurately measure/track plaque formation.

Through the use of mobile technology and volume screening we are able to provide these screenings for an affordable price (normally $800-$1200 if performed in a hospital setting). Mr. Rosner has decades of hospital and private practice experience, and is registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (R.D.M.S.) in multiple disciplines. Our Medical Director is a Board Certified Radiologist with over 30 years of experience.

InSight Ultrasound Specialists
– We take pride in being a local company, using local board Board Certified Radiologists who specialize in the diagnosis of vascular disease. We do not send non-certified, non-credentialed and inexperienced "teams" out from other parts of the country who disappear after the testing is completed. We are always personally here for your needs and questions.

InSight Ultrasound Specialists
– Immediate results given on day of testing if a critical finding is discovered.

InSight Ultrasound Specialists – All participants receive scan pictures and a patient's report summary to confirm findings / take to their personal physician.

InSight Ultrasound Specialists – We care about you. Mr. Rosner, the owner of InSight Ultrasound Specialists, will be the only sonographer performing your screening and will do all necessary follow-up. You will be cared for by a known expert and pioneer in the field of diagnostic ultrasound.

Any ultrasound examination, and in particular, these specialized screening examinations, are only as good as the Sonographer performing the exam. The experience and skill of the Sonographer performing this screening is of utmost importance because if the Sonographer misses an important finding, the interpreting physician reading the exam will not see it on the films and therefore the finding would be "missed". Interpreting physicians almost always rely on the skill of the Sonographer to detect disease conditions so that they can make an accurate interpretation after the test is completed. Unfortunately, most screening companies in the U.S. hire inexperienced and/or non-certified technologists to help their bottom line. We strongly believe you deserve the best care available.
